Full proposal: The proposed development is for an extension of the existing Bombardier Aerospace Wing Manufacturing and Assembly Facility located at Airport Road West. The proposed extension is required to facilitate the evolving needs of the manufacturing operation. The footprint of the existing facility is 52 567m2. The proposal is to expand the facility by approximately 17 000m2 to facilitate the evolving needs of the manufacturing operation. Figure 1 indicates the positions of the extensions: Wing tool storage facility: 7478m2 (expansion to the south) Wing assembly: (expansion to the west) Ground floor: 4045m2 First Floor: 801m2 Second Floor : 801m2 Autoclave Bay Ground Floor: 783m2 First Floor: 783m2 Autoclaves paint Application: 2261m2 The manufacturing processes within the factory will not change due to the additional floorspace. Similarly employee numbers within the Airport Road West site will remain the same and in line with previous planning approvals.
