The proposed solar farm will be operational for 35 years and comprises of approximately 102 hectares of land to the south of Windyhill Road Coleraine. An associated underground cable of c. 0.75km in length will run from the proposed substation within the Application Site to Coleraine Substation to the west of Bushtown Road. The decommissioning of the Proposed Development has been considered within chapters and assessments. Please see associated planning and environmental chapters and technical assessments in Volume 2 and Volume 4 respectively for further detail. Once decommissioned the cable route will be disconnected and left in-situ.
