Location

The application site is located approximately 4.4 kilometres north east of Cloughmills and approximately 12 kilometres south west of Cushendall in the townlands of Carnbuck Magheraboy and Moneyneagh east of Corkey Village County Antrim. The proposed site entrance is located to the north eastern boundary of the site at the existing site entrance to Gruig Wind Farm located along Altnahinch Road Ballymoney BT44 9PE. The northern boundary of the site is approximately 1.7 kilometres from the Reservoir Road with the southern site boundary approximately 1.2 kilometres from the Omerbane Road.

Full proposal: Proposed Carnbuck wind farm comprising of up to 12 three-bladed horizontal axis wind turbines; each up to 180m maximum height above ground level; associated external transformers; underground cabling; access tracks; turning heads; crane hardstandings; control building and substation compound 22 battery energy storage containers 1 storage container off-site areas of widening to the public road and all ancillary works.
