Full proposal: DFI are proposing to carry out safety measures to the A3 Portadown Road by constructing an additional Portadown bound running lane. The additional lane will allow for the existing overtaking lane to become a right turn lane for existing side roads dwellings and field entrances. To maintain a stopping sight distance of 120m for motorists travelling towards Portadown approximately 8.5m of the existing masonry estate wall is to be demolished with approximately 4.2m being reconstructed in reclaimed materials. The existing low level masonry wall will also be demolished over a 31 metre length and reconstructed in reclaimed materials to a new alignment marking the edge of the sight envelope.
