Full proposal: The outline concept proposes 35 units at a low density on a greenfield site. The design incorporates existing trees and landscaping and provides a centrally located open space. The proposal respects the surrounding context and the existing character of the site with consideration given to the adjacent residential development Carbet manor. A strong street frontage has been provided along Carbet Road with 7 dwellings accessed off this road. The concept proposes localised widening of Carbet Road to offer a footpath along the site frontage and improve sightlines. The dwellings are sited back from the road edge with grouped access points to improve road safety. The protected route for the major works planning schedule defines the northern boundary of the site and separates the site from the greenbelt to the north. Consideration has been given to integrating the future road into the proposals.
