The current condition 03 is worded as follows: Breeding birds are established on site and any work which could affect their nests must be completed outside the bird breeding season 'between 1st March and 31st August'. The suggested wording as discussed with ecological experts is as follows: No roof demolition or structural works between 01 March and 31 August unless the ecological consultant has checked the building for nesting birds and confirms that none are present. They should forward a confirmation of this check to the planning authority within 6 weeks of starting.
