Full proposal: Existing entrance pillars to be temporarily dismantled to permit access for a 50 tn crane to facilitate a structural inspection and bat survey of the leaning church spire east elevation and roofslopes. The spire is in a dangerous condition. The project has been awarded a Heritage Lottery grant to dismantle repair and rebuild the spire. The proposal is to temporary dismantle pallatise and store in a safe location and be rebuilt as part of the spire restoration project.
