Full proposal: Removal of vegetation from the structure to help elongate the life expectancy of the structure. The insertion of a number of Tie-Bars adjacent to the arch rings spandrals and wingwalls to prevent further movement (spreading) of the structure. The inclusion of drainage pipework to prevent further erosion of the sandstone wingwalls (downstream side only). Remove worst areas of sandstone and replace with new natural sandstone apply sandstone repair mortar to weathered stonework and repoint decayed areas of pointing.
