Full proposal: Campbell College propose to develop their science and sports buildings on the college grounds. The project will be constructed in two phases. Phase 1 will comprise the demolition of the existing MacDermott building and the construction of a new 10 science laboratory teaching block. The MacDermott building does not hold sufficient number of science laboratories that the college requires and the teaching spaces it does provide are inadequate for contemporary needs. The existing MacDermott is not part of the original college building is not of the same or even notable architectural quality. The NIEA listing map does not distinguish between original and new buildings. Phase 2 will be comprised of the refurbishment and extension of the existing late 1960's sports building or the complete replacement of the sports building depending on the outcome of feasibility studies.
